Dant Vedaa Clinic (A Unit of Rahar Health Care)

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) covers medically necessary dental procedures, including root canal treatments, extractions, fillings, scaling, crowns, dentures, and bridges. These treatments are available at CGHS-empanelled dental clinics or government hospitals on a cashless (for pensioners) or reimbursable basis. Cosmetic procedures like dental implants are not covered.

Covered Dental Procedures

CGHS approves a wide range of essential dental care aimed at preserving oral function, such as:

  • Root Canal Treatments (RCT)
  • Gum Treatment
  • Dental Fillings (composite or amalgam)
  • Tooth Extractions (simple and surgical)
  • Scaling and Polishing
  • Crowns, Bridges, and Dentures
  • Minor Oral Surgeries

How to Avail Services (in Delhi & NCR)

  1. Get a Referral: Consult a dental surgeon at your local CGHS dispensary. If specialized treatment is required, they will issue a referral to a CGHS-empanelled clinic or hospital.
  2. Book an Appointment: Visit a recognized empanelled dental facility. You can find empanelled hospitals and clinics using the CGHS Empanelled Hospital Search portal.
  3. Cashless vs. Reimbursement:
    • Pensioners: Generally eligible for cashless treatment at empanelled centers by presenting a valid CGHS card and the dispensary referral.
    • Serving Employees: Usually pay for the treatment upfront and claim reimbursement through their respective departments.

Official Guidelines & Rates

Treatment costs are fixed according to the CGHS package rates. If a private empanelled hospital charges more than the CGHS rate, the beneficiary must bear the difference. For specific rate lists and empanelment updates, refer to the CGHS Official Portal.
