Cholesterol Test
A cholesterol test measures the levels of various types of cholesterol and lipids in your blood, including total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. It helps assess your risk of cardiovascular disease. High cholesterol levels may not cause symptoms but can silently lead to heart attacks or strokes. This test is recommended for adults over 20 every 4–6 years or more frequently if you have risk factors. Lifestyle changes and medications may be needed based on results.
