Lipid Test

The lipid profile test measures fats in the blood, including cholesterol and triglycerides. This test assesses your risk for heart disease and stroke. High levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) and low levels of HDL (good cholesterol) may indicate an increased risk of cardiovascular issues. It’s usually advised for individuals over 40, or younger if there are risk factors like obesity, smoking, or hypertension. Fasting before the test may be required for accurate results.
